Mission: VFY S6, E1: It Has Begun
Location: USS Tianlong, Various

Location: Orbital Dock 47: CSS Firebrand, Bridge

Smoke started to dissipate from the room. “Decontamination complete.” The station computer called out over the audio intercom system. Jonathan O’Bryant was excited to board the CSS Firebrand bridge. He couldn't believe that Anne Lowe was in just announced as Captain. He applied for the position. He knew his time would come, for the moment needed to get the crew board and get underway to conquer the galaxy.

Layla was glad to be on board the Firebrand. She walked through the ship and to the bridge. “Lieutenant Goodman, reporting for duty.”

“Welcome aboard Lieutenant. Man your station, we don't have time for pleasantries.” Anne said with the twisted grin on her face. She was eager to get underway.

“Lieutenant young prepared and ready for duty, captain.” eagerly and ambitiously responded Hannah Young. Just like her Captain she is eager to start their conquest.

“Lieutenant Forbes reporting.” Chris said as he headed to the science station and started preparing for them to leave.”

“Lieutenant Burke.” Elsa identified herself. She could tell this wasn’t a meet and greet. She didn’t expect a reply.

“Lieutenant Vanora reporting.” Talan said, what is he decided to go next. He was eager and excited to be there, his family had a pretty good Legacy to start playing he couldn't wait to start his legacy.

“Lieutenant Chameer, reporting for duty.” She headed to her station. She knew they would be anxious to get going so she saved time and headed over.

“Lieutenant Meghan Richards reporting for Duty.” Megan said in a proud and confident like tone. Her ambitions were simple, she wanted to be captain. And she didn't care who she had to step on to get there.

Nia looked around and like the others she was waiting for them to get their next orders. She was excited to be a part of this crew and to be heading out soon.

Rachel had a twisted grin on her face, and she looked to the others and then to her captain. “Do we have a mission yet?” Rachel asked eagerly.

“Already for conquest are you, good I appreciate that motivation.” Anne said with the twisted smile on her face. She wasn't necessarily evil but she also believed the only type of galaxy they would be safe was a human ran Galaxy. She felt like that they had been generous and kind to the races that they had conquered.

“What is the point of serving.” Nia growled. “If you aren’t going to capture new territory and make your own mark.” She wasn’t planning on sitting in this position forever.

“Another eager Ensign, I love it.” Anne said with a loving smile on her face. “We are preparing to leave as we speak.” Anne started to say, as they received a distress call.

“Captain we're receiving a distress call, the signal appears to be coming from the Tianlong’s Arrow.” Kyle Goodman said, wondering why they're super carrier was sending out a distress call. Something seemed wrong about that. Nonetheless, he had to notify his captain.

Anne was a little surprised, last she heard the ship was in dock over at deep space nine. So why were they sending out a distress signal, and why was there no signals being imported from deep space nine. “Trace the signal.” Anne ordered.

“Signal Trace, captain they're only eight light years away. And Captain they're not alone, they're being pursued by the Gorn.” Kyle said his blood boiled, how dare they attack a confederation ship.

“Red alert All hands of battle stations, fire up the QSD. Helm plot us a course and engage as soon as you do.” Anne called out, he didn't look over to her first officer. Anne looked over to Layla, she better be ready to go she thought to herself. The scene starts to fade away.

“Plotting course, Sir.” Layla called out and she went to work and engaged the moment it was ready. She was angry that the Gorn had dared attack one of their ships.

Location: USS Tianlong Bridge

“Sir we're not alone.” Called out Kyle a little too late, the ship was rocked by weapons fired. Kyle felt down for not responding sooner, but all that happened within a manner of seconds.

“Taking evasive maneuvers, Captain.” Layla called out. She quickly moved the ship so that they wouldn’t take another hit.

“Do we make a run for it, Commodore?” Shawn asked. The enemy was in too close. And where were their fighters he wondered. Hopefully they would be engaging With the enemy soon.

Layla waited to hear what the Commodore would say. She was doing her best to avoid their enemy and keep them out of firing range.

“We need some distance.” Toby ordered. “Then turn and face them. I want to know what we are up against, I have a feeling running won’t do us any good.”

“Helm, you heard the order plot of course out of here.” Shawn said backing up his captain. It was still unclear to Shawn and the crew that they were in an alternate universe. However they didn't stop them from trying to get it away.

Layla followed the Commodore’s orders and soon they were facing the other ship. She looked through the viewscreen at their enemy.

“Scan the area, Lieutenant Richards.” Toby ordered. “I want to know who else is out there.” He then looked to Kyle. “Weapons on the ready, they fire on us and return it.”

Meghan was trying to figure out why she wanted her to scan. She was operations. Not security, and not the science officer. He didn't challenge his request at this time, she just completed the request. “I am reading an unknown vessel on a fast vector approach to us. They appear to be having a federation transponder signal.” Meghan called out.

“Federation!” Toby called out for confirmation. “Goodman, run a scan as well, I want to make certain our equipment is not off.” He looked at the viewscreen. “Hail them!”

“Hailing them now, Commodore.” Kyle suggested, he opened the communications channel from his tactical station. “They are not responding.” Kyle called out.

Toby waited for an answer and when one didn’t come he looked to Kyle. “Keep hailing them.” He paused. “Do they have their shields raised and weapons charged.”

CSS Firebrand

“Captain we're receiving a hail from the confederation ship, but I have never seen a configuration like that before?” Kyle said confused by the strange looking configuration. He did a scan on it without telling his captain. The ship was weak. It was lately armored and comparison.

Anne was a little surprised, if they weren't confederation who were they. “Lieutenant Forbes, scan the vessel for any human lifesigns.” She called out wanted to know what was going on.

Chris went to work and spoke up. “The crew on the ship are humanoids, Captain.” He paused. “I ran the scan twice.” He wondered what the hell was going on?

“Maybe they commandeered the ship?” Rachel Young suggested to her crew.

“We could answer their hail.” Layla suggested. “It might give us some answers as to who they are.”

“Go to yellow alert, then let's answer their hail.” Anne filled out if she looked over to Layla. She was going to proceed with caution despite the fact that the sensors indicated that the ship was weaker than theirs. If they were human she had a moral obligation to protect them from the nasty vermin known as the Gorn.

“I am bringing them up on screen.” Layla said as she turned back to her station. She looked, along with the others at the screen.

USS Tianlong, Bridge

“This is a USS Tianlong, were under attack from the Gorn. Can you provide assistance?” Commander Shawn Hall asked.

Anne had not heard of this registry before and she was curious what a USS was? She had to remember Earth early history lessons, and then she remembered USS was a registry number back in the old days of the 21st century and before. Where they a ship Lost in Time? Maybe an early ancestor?

“This is the CSS Firebrand, we'll get the Gorn, off your back.” Anne said if you look over to your Tactical officer, and then simply responded. “Fire.”

Kyle started open fire on the Gorn vessel. A couple good hits made the Gorn retreat. Clearly they were no match for the CSS Firebrand.

“Prepare the altar course, we cannot let them get away. They don't get to attack humans and think they live to tell the tale.” Anne said as her voice raged with anger, the audacity of the species to attack the chosen ones. Humanity was far superior and greater than any of these subjugated races below them.

“I’m changing course.” Layla called out. “They will not get away from us!” She wouldn’t let anything come between them. Her mind was racing with this ship they had helped with the strange registry. Their captain would figure it out.

“Mister Goodman, you better have a clean shot. We can not let this scumbag live.” Anne called out, as she looked over to Kyle.

Kyle wasted little time getting that weapons locked onto the Gorn Vessel. With arrogance and pride in his voice he called out. “All weapons are locked on, we can fire at your command.”

“By all means fire.” Anne said, as the main viewer lite up with the main lance piercing the Gorn vessel, destroying it instantly.

“Target has been oblirated, Captain. Cleansing complete.” Kyle said with an arrogant smirk on his face. He was grateful to get rid of the infestation.

“Miss Chameer, any other Gorn vessels in the area?” Anne called out, a little annoyed this one was so close to their territory. How did it get in so close, she wondered.

“Nothing.” She replied quickly. “That must have been a rogue enemy.”

“since the Garner dealt with,Hail them, let's find out what we can about this Terran vessel.” Anne said as a scene starts to fade away.
