USS Devonshire Sim

2375: [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] With Allied forces nearing Cardassia, the Dominion makes a last stand in the Lapolis System. Outnumbered and outgunned, the Dominion puts up a valiant fight. This was a turning point in the War that would later become known as; “The Battle of Lapolis.” [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] “The Battle of Lapolis” Is a combined fleet of Federation and Romulan ships, pressing the advantage against the Dominion forces. Admiral William Ross assumes command of the fleet and orders the fleet to engage the Dominion and drive them out of the Lapolis System. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The Captain Ian Quincy Knapp of the USS Devonshire was helping in the attack against the Dominion. Captain (Insert Name) had a personal vendetta against the Dominion for killing his brother. His crew reminds him that they are to make the Dominion surrender or withdrawal from the area. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The USS Devonshire is ordered to chase down two dominion ships they are trying to flee in the McAlister Nebula. The ship orders two escort vessels to go into a flanking position to attempt to cut off the Dominion ships fleeing. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The USS Tian An Men (Miranda Class) and USS Rutledge (New Orleans Class) responded to the USS v request for assistance. The Rutledge was ordered to chase down the Cardassian Galor class ship, while the USS USS Tian An Men and the USS (Insert Ship Name) attacked the Jem Ha Dar Battleship. After a some weapons fire the USS Tian An Men was destroyed with all hands. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The USS Devonshire continues to pursue the Jem Ha Dar Battleship. They are hit a broadside, and knocked off course. The Dominion’s Jem Ha Dar Battleship entered the nebula. The USS Devonshire systems are knocked offline, and they need to make repairs. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The USS Rutledge pursued the Cardassian Galor Class into the nebula. After a short time later, the USS Devonshire follows the ion trail of the Jem Ha Dar Battleship. As they enter, they discover the Jem Ha Dar Battleship has been destroyed. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] the USS Devonshire follows the ion trail of the USS Rutledge. They discover that the Cardassian ship has been destroyed as well. The same way that the Jem Ha Dar battleship was destroyed. The USS Rutledge, is untouched, but they can not find any life signs. Captain Knapp decides to investigate the Rutledge. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] Commander Rodriguez is ordered to beam over and determine what happened to the USS Rutledge crew. Commander Rodriguez’s team find a solo survivor. Lieutenant (Insert Name) says that the Rutledge was boarded and the crew was abducted, and they need to get out of there. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] Commander Rodriguez wants to know who took the crew. The Lieutenant does not know. Lieutenant (Insert Name) believes that that the Lieutenant must have been protected because she is Betazed and a Telepath. She mentions they were pysonic attacks, and she was able to shield herself. She was not able to scan the hostile invaders because she had to protect herself from the attack. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] She only knows they are hostile and they want something from the crew of the USS Rutledge, and she has no idea what it is. While this is happening the USS Devonshire picks up an unknown large vessel on an intercept course. Captain Knapp orders his crew to attempt to identify the ship. The crew has no idea, they are told that the ship is massive, and Captain Knapp orders his away team back and to raise shields. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] Before Captain Knapp is able to beam them over, the aliens abduct Commander Rodriguez. Henglaar and the Lieutenant remain on the USS Rutledge, they attempt to hail the Devonshire with no success. The devonshire did not get her shields up, and they are being boarded. Helgar wants to help his crew. The Lieutenant says getting the shields up on the Devonshire should stop the pysonic attack, so they head to the transporter room of the Rutledge. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] Henglaar saves his captain and raises the ship, but some of the Devonshire crew have already been taken to the alien ship. Captain Knapp ask for an update, and they tell him that the unknown aliens have incredible pysonic abilities and are abducting crews from the Rutledge and the Devonshire. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] The USS Devonshire makes a run for it, and the alien ship crashes into the USS Rutledge and its destroyed. The Devonshire prepares to leave the nebula, Captain Knapp orders once they leave to jump to warp. They have a fire fight to the nebula border. Their weapons are not strong enough to defeat the alien ship. Captain Knapp orders all power to the shields, they need to keep them up to avoid a psyonic attack. Their shields are failing. [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 1] Captain Knapp is out of options, he orders the computer to self destruct the ship at the enemy vessel. The crew that has survived is moving to the escape pods. They all know they are in a loosing battle. The Devonshire explodes in front of the alien ship.

2376: [Star Trek Hidden Frontier: S1, E1: Enemy Unknown, Part 2] 18 months later… The USS Excelsior NCC-2000-B is being posted to Deep Space 12. She is a galaxy class dreadnought. The command of the Excelsior falls to Captain Ian Quincy Knapp; he believes the crew is too inexperienced for this type of command.
