Location: USS Lovejoy, Observation Lounge
Timeline: January 15, 2397, 1430 hrs
Domingo was the first one to arrive from the senior staff on Starbase Port Royale. He glanced over and smiled from the ready room window of the USS Lovejoy. His former command, he was visiting with her new commanding officer, as they made their final approach to the station.
"She is a beauty." He said, with a big grin on his face. The guardian class station was smaller than a space dock station, but she was able to support several ships, and even repair them, but she had certain charm to her.
"Captain, we have been cleared to dock with the station." Called out the first officer, over the intercom.
"Roger that, you can handle the details, I am preoccupied at the moment." Said the captain, as he stood up, and walked over to the window with Domingo. "That she is Dom." The new captain said, as he watched the ship change for line up, to the station. "You can get a better view from the bridge." The Captain suggested to Domingo.
"Your right, we should head back to the bridge then." Domingo said, with a big grin on his face. He was curious to see his new home.
"After you, Commodore." Said the Captain, with a big grin on his face. Motioning with his hand for Domingo, to walk out first.
Domingo nodded as he walked onto the bridge. As expected, he got the standard Admiral on deck mumbo jumbo. He made sure to run through the motions of saying. "At ease." He simply said, as the USS Lovejoy continued her approach, the main viewer showed the ship lining up with the one of the main bay doors, and slowly the ship was pulled inside.
As the ship entered the bay, the main viewer caught a glimpse of the new Odyssey Class Cruiser, docked. "That's an impressive ship, Sir." The Captain said, as he stayed by Domingo's side. They both caught first glimpse of the ship.
"She sure is, Captain. Can not wait to take her out for a spin." He said with a big grin, but he knew it would be a short while, before he was going to be able to take her out. He had to meet the crew. That was no small under taking.
The USS Lovejoy, docked with the Station, and was not staying long, dropping off some personal, and supplies before heading out. Domingo made sure to thank the new captain, of his old ship for the ride. Before departing the USS Lovejoy. He thought to himself, one door closes, and another one begins. As the scene fades.
