Domingo walked into the promenade, partially to make his rounds, and to see how the Eagle's were settling in. As soon as they settled in, the sooner he could get his bottle of Bloodwine for Commander Tias. Domingo walked into the Eagles Antiques Shop, he could tell they were still setting up. "Hello Mrs Eagle, I wanted to stop by and see how you and your husband were settling in?" He asked her with a smile on his face. There was something very familiar about her. He could not pin point it at this very second, and it was bothering him.
Nicole smiled as she greeted Domingo. "Please come in and grab a seat Admiral" Nicole smiled. "You'll be glad to know I've got those two bottles of blood wine in my inventory and we'll have them both to you very shortly."
"It's not admiral yet, the party is tonight. I hope you and John can join?" Domingo asked, showing off his single Commodore Pip on his collar. He was having a promotion ceremony and party later on tonight to celebrate.
"In that case we'll be there!" Nicole smiled. "Forgive us if we don't stay too late I'm afraid I tend to tire very easily these days. Being six months pregnant tends to take a lot out of the body."
"Understandable, I appreciate the effort. Where is John?" Domingo asked, expecting to see him. He assumed John must have been in the loading bay, or dealing with merchandise. He was not sure, but he was hoping to ask about the bottle of bloodwine.
"John is dealing with our merchandise while I organise the shop layout" she smiled. "It's the easiest job although our rarer pieces will be mostly holographic representation for safety sake. I will make sure you have your bloodwine this evening if that's alright?"
"Totally fine." Domingo said, with a small grin on his face. He was still trying to picture, why Nicole looked so familiar to him. But where. He was trying to solve the mystery in his head.
Nicole looked at Domingo curiously her Betazoid senses were picking up on his inner confusion. "Do I remind you of someone?" She smiled. "I'm sensing a certain....confusion combined with familiarity from you."
"Your the mind reader, tell me!" Domingo softly said, meaning it more playful than serious. "Have you had a moment, where you look at someone, and you think, hey I know you? But you can not figure out, and it drives you bonkers?" Domingo asked, hoping that answered her question. "I look at you, and think that." He said.
"Well it'll come back to you" Nicole smiled warmly. "I'm not going to offer to go rummaging in your head for it, my mother would have my guts for garters if I did that! She always had very strict rules about telepathic interference with others. I simply rely on my abilities to help when help is required."
"Well where is the fun in that?" Domingo asked with a big grin. He kept forcing his mind to recall. After a few moments it came back to him. "Lucy Emery, I served with her on the Falcon back in 78. You look just like her." Domingo said to himself, feeling relieved he could recall.
"See I told you!" Nicole grinned. "All you need is to unlock that door in your mind and it opens to reveal what you need to know. At least the mystery is solved."
Domingo laughed, "At least the mystery is solved. Have you experienced that before Mrs. Eagle?" Domingo asked, trying to keep the conversation going.
"Not exactly but under other circumstances. It can be annoying." She smiled at Domingo. "Please call me Nicole. So tell me more about this station."
"Welcome to the wild west of space stations, we are going to house a big diplomatic presense on the station with the major factions. The goal is to keep the peace, and for all parties to agree. One thing we learned from the dominion war is, if we are not sitting down and talking, then we are fighting. Now we can not have that." He started off to say. There was so much more tell. But all in due time.
"It sounds like a valiant endeavour" Nicole nodded. "I'd much rather settle where I can raise my children in peace. "JJ and I have been trying for a family for a long time so these two little miracles mean everything to us."
"Port Royale, will be a safe haven for your family. There will be several decks off limit to guests or questionable types. As long as your on my station, you all will have a safe haven." Domingo said, feeling really good about his choice to bring the Eagles to the station.
"Thank you" Nicole was feeling better and happier about the choice she and JJ had made now. "If there's anything else you need at any point please let me know and I'll do my best to get it for you."
"I'll have to get back to you on that, just stopped by to see how you were both settling. Sadly I can not stick around at the moment. To many meetings to attend. I hope to see you and John tonight at the party." Domingo said, as he started to head towards the door.
"We'll see you there" Nicole smiled.
Domingo walks out of the room. He smiled, as the scene fades.
