Mission: VFY S9, E1: We Have A Home
Location: USS Bushido / Valhalla Fleet Yards
Timeline: Current

Ensign Lisa Read was sitting at the helm. She turned to Deezell, sat in the command seat.

"We are approaching Valhalla Fleet Yards, Captain. I am reducing to impulse as we make our final approach," Lisa advised.

"Excellent, Ensign. Thank you. Take us in and advise VFY that we are requesting docking clearance. "

"Aye, captain," Lisa replied, as she transmitted the message to VFH docking control.

"USS Bushido, this is Docking Control. You have clearance to dock at the Research and Development Station. Welcome to Valhalla Fleet Yards. "

Dee smiled, " OK, helm, take us in and get us docked."

"With pleasure Captain," Lisa replied.

Carol walked onto the bridge with the big warm smile on her face. "No place like home." She called out with a smile if you walked over towards the command chair, not to sit down but to admire the view from the best spot in the whole entire ship.

" It's an impressive set up you have here, Commodore. I am itching to explore it, once we have docked. "

"I'm happy to hear that because I'm going to need you to start right away tomorrow to be exact. We're transferring Theta Epsilon Fleet Yards to this location. A lot of mothball chips are going to be recalled to service and I need you and your team to work with ASB and the Corps of Engineers you get those ships operational." Carol stayed into her common realizing that probably overwhelm her again, but Carol was also firm believer that he can only truly catch yourself if you're being challenged.

She knew that Dee could handle it. Carol head Rider file, and saw that everything is she done on Starbase 400 under Admiral Bremer. She had no doubt that she'd be just as successful and probably even shine more at the fleet yards.

" I will be ready, Commodore. I'm eager to get stuck into things."

Dee replied.

Location: R&D Station, CO Quarters

- An hour or so later, aboard the R&D station - Specifically the family quarters of Deezell and Jaxon-

As usual, as soon as the doors opened, Lara and Velo charged in and began to explore the quarters, which were considerably larger than those on the Bushido, as a Starbase is not restrictive when it comes to the utilisation of space.

Jaxon lost control of the kids his hand as soon as the door switched open, the trade not to chuckle as he saw the kids get super excited for their new quarters. "Station commanders really have a lot of good perks." Jaxon suggested, being mesmerized by just the living room they had even gone that far into the quarters yet. It was clearly larger than her quarters on the Bushido.

"Oh my, have you seen the size of this place?" Dee exclaimed as she looked around from where she stood by the door. It definitely felt bigger than their family quarters back on Starbase 400, but was it just an optical illusion caused by the lack of their belongings not yet cluttering up the space?

"When do you have to go to work?" Jaxon asked hoping that they all could take a tour as a family or at least get something to eat. He was a bit hungry, and wanted to check out the local promenade on the station.

"As far as I know, I officially start work tomorrow morning so we have the rest of the day to have a tour of the place, get something to eat and make a start of making this our home."

"The Commodore, as an interesting command style. But I think she's good people." Jaxon started to say as he could hear both the little children running around the area and looking at the different rooms. The Bushido CO Quarters were pretty spacious he thought l, but this place was even bigger.

"Well maybe we should start by discovering what's in this place. I hope it has a jacuzzi tub, because if not I might have to go on to the Bushido nightly." Jaxon said teasingly, not to hook up with Dee but more like soak his muscles. However if she wanted to hook up he wasn't going to object to that either. The jacuzzi tub on the Bushido was nice.

" Most holodecks can do a very good recreation of the spas on our Homeworld, the ones just outside the capital. So perhaps we can try those? " Dee commented.

"Is that your way of saying my room my tub." He has with a playful smile as he pulled during close, looking into her eyes. He would probably do the same thing if it was his ship, but more to be teasing than serious. But the idea of them sharing a holodeck was very stimulating for him.

"Saw right through me again didn't you. I will share it of course, but it might cost you . "

"Well I am good with my hands so feel free to utilize me." He said sounding a little corny and realizing it but he was trying to be cheesy and yet slightly romantically cute but in a cheesy way. He started to massage the back of her neck and her head as she looked at him.

"Mmm definitely good with your hands. Don't worry, I will make use of them. " She then heard giggling coming from the kids room. They went to find out what was going on. Lara and Velo were playing a game on their LCARS terminal and seemingly having a lot of fun with it.

" Looks like you two have settled in." Dee stated.

" We have mommy," Velo replied.

" Good. We will be going out for a family meal in an hour so enjoy the game but be ready to go when either I or daddy tells you, ok?" She advised.

"Ok mommy. " Velo replied.

"So how does it feel, I realize that you just got here but knowing that all this is yours." Jaxon asked as he pulled his wife in close. His question was more than just how she felt about the room. He was referring to her new assignment her new station and her new starship. All in a short amount of time, he knew how overwhelming that could be so he was trying to approach this lightly.

" Jeez it's still overwhelming. I left Starbase 400 as her Chief Engineer, handing over to Lieutenant Commander Tamalar and now I have my own ship and a space station. It's crazy but so exciting. The possibilities are endless. "

"I'm also a little overwhelmed by this. And one day you get a station and a Starship, and I even got my assignment yet. I'm supposed to meet with Admiral Martinez, the Vice Admiral Sarah Martinez. There were two Admiral Martinez in the fleet, one was The plea commander in the other was the Tactical Command Director. He wasn't a sign to the fleet yards directly but he was part of the 21st Fleet Armada which was under the command of Fleet Admiral Domingo Martinez.

"That sounds complicated. When is your meeting? Hang on, let's get moving to find something to eat and we can talk about it more then, as I'm getting quite hungry. "

"Tomorrow morning, apparently she's booked tonight and she wants to get off at a decent time for her children, since she's been away for a couple days. That's what she told me." Jaxon said, he didn't really want to fight with a three-star Admiral plus he didn't mind taking an extra day to spend with his family.

"Busy day for both of us tomorrow then. Oh joy. I'm sure things will work out. Now, back to food." She said noticing both kids were getting restless. "Best get something to eat for all of us. Especially these two. They might start eating the furniture."

Deezell, Jaxon and their two children, left their family quarters, heading for the replimat to get something to eat. The scene then fades out as we watch them walk down the corridor from their quarters.
